Minecraft 1.16.5

This release fixes two critical stability issues. We aren't releasing more information about these issues at this time to protect servers which have yet to update.
This release is network-compatible with 1.16.4 - you don't need to update right away to play on updated servers, but we highly encourage server owners to update as soon as possible.

Minecraft 1.16.4

This release adds the new social interactions screen and fixes a few crashes.

If you missed it, we recently announced that Mojang accounts will be migrating into Microsoft accounts. This release prepares for that by having the game understand the settings and block-list of Microsoft accounts. You can read more about it here, and you can find answers to questions you might have in the FAQ.

+When logging in with a Microsoft Account, players blocked in your account are also blocked in the game, and account restrictions are now respected
+Chat from blocked players is always hidden
+Realms invites from blocked players are hidden
+A button to open a link to the Accessibility Guide can now be found in the Accessibility Options screen
+Fixed MC-192434: Netherite Leggings are textured wierdly
+Fixed MC-199487: WorldGen Deadlock
+Fixed MC-201885: Divide by zero error in the Ender Dragon entity class can cause a server crash and infinite velocity

Minecraft 1.16.3

+Distortion effects such as nausea and the portal overlay can be reduced

Minecraft 1.16 - Nether Update

Traverse through familiar, fiery wastes into new unexplored fungal forests, spooky valleys, and deltas brimming with basalt. Dig your way through these biomes and find new materials. +Bees no longer anger when a nearby nest/hive is broken with a silk touch tool

Minecraft 1.14.2

We've fixed some more issues left in 1.14.1. We wanted to get these fixes out as soon as possible as they affect gameplay, but we also have a bunch of less critical fixes coming in 1.14.3

+All light will now be re-calculated the first time a world from a previous version is loaded
+Errors encountered while loading regions now print more diagnostics to the log file
+Fixed a bug where parrots spawn on grass, not grass blocks
+Added server-side chunk count to debug screen
+Modified raider spawning so they only spawn in fully loaded chunks

Minecraft 1.14 - Village and Pillage

Apparently, it takes a village to raise a child. Frankly, if we'd known how much work putting together the biggest Minecraft update yet was going to be, we'd have probably taken the easy option and tried to raise that child instead!

But it was all worth it for this, the Village & Pillage Update! I can almost hear the Pillagers firing their crossbows into the air in celebration! Or are they firing them towards me...
